Beauty treatments with beeswax
Lip balm with honeybee waxIngredients and proportions:
-40% of any type of cosmetic oil, which is in a liquid state at a room's temperature (e.g. avocado, sun-flower, almond or olive oil)
-25% of any type of cosmetic oil in a solid state at a room's temperature (coconut oil, Shea butter, lanoline, mango butter or palm tree oil, etc.)
-20% beeswax, white or yellow
-15%- of any type of cosmetic oil in a brittle state at a room's temperature -honey
Procedure: melt the oils, the honey and the wax at a low temperature; leave the mixture to cool and then add the essential oils a few drops of vitamin E; stir until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed and then pour the mixture in clean recipients; after the mixture cools down you can use it as a lip balm.
Moisture cream with vitamin EIngredients:
-4 teaspoons of sweet almond oil
-1 spoon of beeswax
-2 glasses of water
-10 drops of vitamin E
-10 drops of essential lavander oil
Melt the wax and the oil in a double vase. Take the vase from the cooker, add the water and then stir thoroughly. Add the vitamin E and the essential oils, and keep stirring until the mixture cools down. The obtained cream is very hydrating and has emollient properties. It is highly recommended for dry skin and if you apply it regularly it will give your skin a much healthier look. It is advisable to keep the cream in clean recipients, like metal boxes for example.
-2 spoons of beeswax
-3 teaspoons of sweet almond oil
-1 teaspoon of jojoba oil
-20 drops of wheat germs oil
-20 drops of essential mirth oil
-20 drops of essential tea tree oil
Remember, that for every teaspoon of beeswax, you need two teaspoons of essential oil. Heat the jojoba and almond oil in a pan and then add the beeswax. If you want a less creamy balm, then add less beeswax. If you want a more solid balm, then add more beeswax. As the base cools down, add the essential oils, in order to increase the antiseptic properties of the product. Pour then the resulted product into metallic recipients or into jars.
Ointment for irritationsIngredients:
-two spoons of beeswax
-1 teaspoon of comfrey powder
Put the comfrey powder and the olive oil together in a pot and then boil everything for about three hours. Then filter and add beeswax. Put the ointment into metallic recipients or into jars.
Moisturizing body lotion with coconut and beeswaxIngredients
-2 spoons of beeswax
-2 teaspoon of distilled water
-4 teaspoon of cocoa
-4 teaspoons of almond oil
-4 teaspoons of coconut oil
Mix the wax and the water at a low temperature. Then, sprinkle the cocoa and keep on stirring. Pour in a recipient and mix with the oil. The whole mixture has to be poured into glass jars. The lotion will cool down and have a solid consistency.
Night face creamIngredients:
-3 teaspoons of olive oil
-1 teaspoon of aloe gel
-1 spoon of Shea butter
-2 teaspoons of grated beeswax
-1 teaspoon of rose water
-1/4 teaspoons of lecithin
-oil taken from two vitamin E capsules
-3 drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil
How to prepare the cream
Melt the oil, the butter and the wax in a measuring glass, either on the cooker or in the microwave. Take the glass from the oven when the beeswax is about the melt. Finish the melting process by mixing the entire composition with oil. Add vitamin E and lecithin and continue the stirring process. Mix the rose water and the aloe gel and pour slowly over the initial mixture. Continue stirring with the help of a metallic spoon. As soon as mixture cools down, add the essential oils and stir. Pour the mixture into clean recipients. Store the recipients into a cupboard. Do not store them in sunny or warm areas.
Use the cream during night time, especially when the weather outside is cold and dry.
